Certain Android smartphones are being infected with malware somewhere along the supply chain. The affected brands include Samsung, Xiaomi, Asus, LG, ZTE, and Lenovo. Several types of malware have been found on the devices: data stealers, malicious advertisement displayers, and ransomware. The old "re-image before use" rule that many applied to regular computers should apply to mobile devices as well. This is just one of the risks that enterprise users of open systems, like Android, have to manage.

Enterprises and Government have high-grade IT infrastructures, yet they still get hacked and experience cyberattack. Just recently CIA has been reportedly hacked and there are so much private information that has been leaked.

How much more for consumer-level, and home users who are migrating their appliances to smart devices, now that even your microwaves can be a way to hack into your private lives.

These are not your typical robots. When you are trying to contact someone, many times you're speaking to a bot, particularly if you're on Facebook or maybe on Twitter. This can be both a great way to interact with your customers via social media channel, but if not used properly can be a deal breaker.

If there are fake news, then there's definitely fake accounts. Majority of these "bots" are fake accounts, that are most of the time used to increase followers on social media. There are "bots" being used to increase productivity and others are just there to simply breach security.

In the age of "Internet of Broken Things", we can never know how safe is "safe" anymore. As there is no longer a sense of privacy, which is what we used to know, everyone is watching us even from our smart homes.

Now, if our smart devices are hackable, and CIA or NSA is watching, then what happens with all those information out on WikiLeaks?

We know that the CIA and the NSA had been very busy coming up with all kinds of hacks. If you have an Android device, you are probably at more risk than almost anyone out there.

Only 33% of Android are reasonably up to date with their software, and without the necessary updates, you’re not getting security updates. With that in mind, find out what kind of harm USB can do to you.

Wikileaks announced that they have their hands on the CIA’s hacking tools, and they are putting it on their website in what they call "Vault 7".

They’ve exposed something called "Weeping Angel", from 7,800 plus pages with 943 attachments of confidential documents. These documents were from the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligences dating back 2013, and this is the largest publication of confidential documents on the agency. Facebook has a new feature that let you dispute the news. If people are hearing and reading news from the internet where other people are making it up, we now have a real problem.

How can you tell what news is real?

With the society's attention span shortening rapidly, they won't even read past their quick look at their news feed. And this is very evident with those who are trigger-happy retweeting on Twitter. They never even look at the article, to begin with.
